Hi all
I havent written on here before, but have been keeping an eye out on what you lovely ladies have been doing.
after 3 years of being clear, I was told that the cancer had returned on my liver. After swearing a lot ( not at the poor doc,)and then apologising I was told that it may be able to be removed with surgery and an urgent referral would be made to the surgeons.
that was 2 weeks ago and when I contacted the nurse on fri,( to try to find out what was going on) I was told that it would be passed on that I was anxious and had phoned.
Hmm, wonder if she would be happy to sit and wait like a good little patient?
Sue

Big hugs to you, and what a shock after 3 years clear, what a blow xx
I agree with you about the waiitng, they have this sense of urgency and then it all seems to grind to a halt, so frustrating, I made A LOT of phone calls in the limbo time and even if it didnt make things move along any quicker, it made me feel as though I was doing 'something'. Make sure you call again on Monday. In the meantime I gues you have to try as best you can to put it out of your head, try and keep busy (easier said than done Im in a similar position myself at the mo). You're not alone hunni x

Hi Sue! What a bugger life is sometimes :-(
You were right to ring and the nurse was wrong to put you down as being anxious --who wouldn't be? We have to get assertive sometimes when making sure that we get the best care we can. We deserve it. I hope that you hear soon when your op will be, Have they any plans for staring chemo? It may mop up any cells that are still there. Carry on posting on here and we'll all be with you in words, wishes and spirit. All the best
Love, Wendy xx

Hi Sue

What a blow......I do hope they will operate and things will be kinda ok again!!! I'm a year into remission at the moment. It had also gone to my liver amongst other areas. I live in fear that it will return. I try hard to be positive and not think about it and the ladies on this site are an inspiration. I read it every day although only post occasionally. Usually somebody has already voiced what I was going to say anyway. I send you good wishes and angels (if you believe in them) to look after you.

thanks so much for your support, doesnt make me feel so bad about it now! just been for my PET/CT, nipped into my local shop for a bottle of wine- felt like shouting 'UNCLEAN, UNCLEAN' and ringing a bell!.No sign of an appt yet.........
Kate- no answer at the nurses phone- I think they have caller ID!
wendy- the Onc said chemo if the surgery wasnt going to happen, would rather not as am halfway through my masters course, and that would bugger that up.
